A Life Redirected
In 2016 Ibrahim met Jesus, and soccer no longer defined success. After his 2018 head injury, God redirected his gifts toward vulnerable children and families.

Our Origin Story: Purpose Beyond the Game
Founded by Ibrahim Byakika, a former semi-professional soccer player, World for Life was born out of a powerful story of transformation. After giving his life to Jesus Christ in 2016, Ibrahim discovered a greater purpose beyond the game, to use his God-given talents to serve others and share the love of Christ in action.
In 2018, following a head injury that ended his playing career, God led Ibrahim to establish World for Life Organization, a ministry designed to reach more people beyond sports, bringing hope, faith, and practical love to those in need.
Today, World For Life serves communities in both the Busoga region of Uganda and Metro Detroit, Michigan (USA), uniting hearts across continents to transform lives and expand God’s Kingdom.
Our dedicated leadership team across Metro Detroit and Uganda unites hearts globally to empower youth and transform communities.
